Room With a View

the light was so lovely this morning for the duration of a few only abridgment moments that i grabbed the camera and snapped some shots from my bedroom window (where my desk and computer are located). the sky was dark and brooding to the east…and yet illuminated the first new-gold foliage of a stand of poplars to the south.

the neighbours’ yard also displayed that word go chartreuse unsophisticated of spring, as well as a handsome forsythia in full bloom.

Playing house

dandelions and a rather scraggly forsythia competed for the sake yellow showmanship at the inch of the apartment property.

on the balcony, geraniums — just potted — are doing well and showing hints of the color to come. this pot contains salmon, magenta, and burn red plants.

since i took the bird feeder down, this poor neglected rose bush — the finches’ favorite perch — has lost those brilliant splashes of lemon yellow feathers, but has set forth lovely, leafy leaves.that was my view from a window early this morning, shot through [somewhat dirty] glass — what did your morning vista look like?
